Lola Digital Media is seeking a Deals Writer who loves sharing deals with a wide audience. This position will write for several of our publications, including GearJunkie.com, Bikerumor.com, MyPetNeedsThat.com, and more. This is a fully remote hourly contractor position with the opportunity to become a full-time employee in the future. 

This position has an expected starting workload of 25 hours per week. Success in this role may lead to increased hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Write compelling and entertaining articles about deals for a wide range of industries
• Review emails from brand partners and search the web to determine which deals are the best to share with our readers
• Write helpful buyer’s guides for consumers shopping for a broad range of products
• Assist in researching the best products across several verticals
• Be a flexible, present member of the team, helping where you can, when you can
• Communicate needs and concerns with management as soon as they arise

Who You Are

Required

• You know a good deal when you see one
• Must be self-motivated and flexible, able to keep up with a fast-paced media environment
• Excellent writing skills with an attention to detail and a hatred for typos
• Able to adjust your writing voice to match each publication
• Experience writing deal and affiliate content
• Familiarity with WordPress content management system and Adobe Photoshop
• Strong workflow and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of SEO principles
• Enjoy working on a small, nimble team
• Reliable access to a computer and wi-fi to work remotely

Preferred

• Working knowledge of basic HTML
• Experience working on remote teams
