Ben Carpel – Chief Executive Officer Ben leads Lola Digital Media with experience gained from years leading teams and working in consumer and enterprise tech.  Previously, Ben led Cyfe — featured throughout HBO’s Silicon Valley — as its CEO (sold to Alpine Investors). M.S. from USC; CFA Charterholder.

Eric Phung – Chief Financial Officer Eric manages Lola portfolio finances and helps lead M&A activity for the company. Previously, Eric was engaged in institutional investing, investment banking, and financial restructuring at BlackRock, Tennenbaum, Houlihan Lokey, and FTI Consulting. He is a graduate of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

Alex Phung – Chief Legal Officer With a legal and business strategy background, Alex oversees legal and governance matters, and helps lead M&A activity at Lola. His career includes positions at Cargill and Dorsey & Whitney. Alex is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.

Soni Obinger – Chief Content Officer Soni oversees editorial, brand, and art departments within Lola. Her career includes positions at Hearst and Time Inc., where she worked with titles including ‘O’ (Oprah) magazine, Sunset, and Esquire. At Shutterfly, Obinger served in the Creative Marketing department as an art director. She is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

Liam Steacker – Chief Technology Officer Liam’s experiences encompass tech strategic initiatives in the private and public sectors, at Groupon, Oprah, and the U.S. Naval Research Lab. Liam is a graduate of DePaul University.

Stephen Regenold – Vice President of Strategy Stephen is a journalist by training and a former writer for the New York Times. He founded GearJunkie, a popular publication about gear and the outdoors, which was acquired by Lola in 2020. Stephen now serves as VP of Strategy for Lola, overseeing business and editorial staff and aiding in acquisitions for the company’s AllGear group.
