Soap Hub Awards debut on CBS ‘The Talk’
NOV. 15, 2021 | LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – Lola Digital Media is proud to announce a partnership between its flagship lifestyle media site, Soap Hub, and “The Talk.” The Emmy Award-winning talk show on CBS will host Soap Hub’s second-annual ceremony on Friday, November 19th.
“Bringing the Soap Hub Awards to ‘The Talk’ feels like a great way to honor the daytime community and its loyal viewers,” said Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews, executive producers, “The Talk.” “We’re excited for this partnership and to celebrate this year’s favorite soap opera performances chosen by the fans.”
Soap Hub, a leading entertainment site that covers the soap opera world, launched the inaugural Soap Hub Awards in 2020. The awards give daytime fans the opportunity to vote for their Favorite Actor and Favorite Actress from the four major daytime soap operas.
“Daytime fans have always been passionate and outspoken about their favorite performers and shows,” said Diane Brounstein, Soap Hub’s Editor in Chief. “We wanted to give soap opera viewers the opportunity to have their voices heard.”
Soap Hub readers and fans of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of Our Lives,” “General Hospital,” and “the Young and the Restless” have voted for their favorite shows and performers.
“The Talk” is hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood.
Voting took place over a two-week period on Soap Hub from October 20 to November 3, 2021. Viewers will have to tune in on Friday, November 19 to find out who wins. “The Talk” airs weekdays (2 pm, ET/1 pm, PT) on CBS and streams on Paramount+. Check local listings for air times and channels.
